Hungary Hair & Beauty Regulations
Hungary currently does not have nationwide licensing for hair and beauty services, except nail technicians who want to work independently.
When setting up a business, you will need to comply with any local laws relating to business registration.
There may also be local regulations regarding health and safety when operating your business.
Beauty Services in Hungary
There are currently no specific licensing requirements in Hungary to provide beauty services such as:
- Face and Body Waxing
- Manicure and Pedicure
- Facials (including Skin Needling & Microdermabrasion)
- Lash and Brow Tinting & Lash Perming
However, nail techs who want to start their own salon, rent a chair or work independently are required to take formal training at a recognised institution, which usually runs for 6-24 months. You also need to pass the necessary examination after getting certified to legally start your nail business.
If you’ll work as an employee in a salon, you don’t need to hold recognised qualifications, but you need to be supervised by a certified professional.
